Lowest Base Attack Time (BAT) Heroes

I have explained Base Attack Time in the previous post in which you know why you can't let an Anti-Mage farm. In this post, I will list the lowest BAT heroes.

#1 Alchemist (in Chemical Rage) - 1.15

Alchemist, when turn on Chemical Rage will have:

  1. 1.45 BAT at level 6 (Level 1 Chemical Rage)
  2. 1.3 BAT at level 11 (Level 2 Chemical Rage)
  3. 1.15 BAT at level 16 (Level 3 Chemical Rage)

#2 Anti-Mage - 1.45

You shouldn't let Anti-Mage farm!

#3 Lycanthrope (in Shapeshift form) -1.5

Eat everyone with his ulti. Eat roshan as well. Eat tower.

#3 Windrunner 1.5

Low BAT for windrunner helps his Ulti to have increase attack per second. If you play carry windrunner, just stack up some damage items - Deso, MKB, Daedalus.

#5 Syllabear (in True Form) - 1.6

Favorite pushing pick, and even more!

#5 Huskar - 1.6

Now you know why Huskar is so popular in pub although most of them don't even know that Huskar has 1.6 BAT. Some of them own, some of them dead in the lust of Huskar.

All other heroes only have 1.7 Base Attack Time.

Why Anti-Mage is Unstoppable When Farmed?

Why you can't let Anti-Mage farm? Mana break is a pain and blink can be used to chase and escape. But, what's more? Well, Anti-Mage has the lowest Base Attack Time (BAT) which is 1.45 in Dota 2. Almost all heroes have a BAT of 1.7. The lower the BAT, the faster the hero attack.

Attack per second is calculated by using this formula:

Attack per Second = (Increase Attack Speed + 1) / Base Attack Time.
or
Attack Rate = (IAS + 1)/BAT

From the formula given, lower amount of BAT will have increase attack per second, and the more you put items on a lower BAT hero, the higher the hero attack per second.

So, why you can't let Anti-Mage farm? Let's calculate attack per second by using heroes that farm almost the same item and heroes that has high attack speed.

At Level 16, without item

Anti-Mage - 1.14 attack per second
Rikimaru - 1.05 attack per second
Morphling - 1.03 attack per second
Phantom Assasin - 1.01 attack per second

Now, let's put treads (agility), manta and butterfly on each on of them, at level 16

Anti-Mage - 2.07 attack per second
Rikimaru - 1.84 attack per second
Morphling - 1.83 attack per second
Phantom Assasin - 1.80 attack per second

Worth mentioning - Morphling with all strength converted to agility will have 2.13 attack per second, 0.05 more than Anti-Mage but super fragile.

In map 6.72, IceFrog made Anti-Mage's BAT 1.35 which cause him to be banned and picked in all games. At level 16, with item mentioned above, he will have 2.22 attack per second! That's why his BAT was changed to 1.45 back in 6.73 but he is still a strong pick.

Other heroes that has BAT lower than 1.7 will be post in the next post.

Sand King Epicentre Combo

These are the two sand king epicentre combos extracted from the latest Dota 2 Top 10 Weekly: Ep 28 by Dota Cinema

1. High Ground Epicentre

Ready on high ground where your enemy can't see you and press Epicentre when you see enemy coming blindly towards you. You'll own them!

2. Epicentre and Wisp Combo

Wisp is known for many combos such as Tiny-Wisp, Naix-Wisp and Earthshaker-Wisp. Well, it also works well with Sand King. Use your epicentre and then link with Wisp to teleport (Spirits Out) to your enemy!

Top Killing Heroes

Sometimes you are in the mood of killing heroes, maybe boring of playing some kind of farming carry, support. You might ask what is the best hero to choose. And, you might think a Phantom Assasin and a Bloodseeker will do the best. Well, these are our top killing heroes list:

Top Killing Heroes

#1 Rikimaru

There is only one catch for this, avoid picking this hero when your enemy has a counter hero like Slardar and Gondar. This is a super strong hero in pub because lesser people bought gem in pub. Rikimaru can go one on one with any hero with smoke screen (silence and 70% attack miss). Most people will think diffusal is the best for him, but in my opinion, Sange & Yasha will do better. It's situational, though.

Recommended killing items: Treads, Poor Man 's Shield, Sange & Yasha, Butterfly, BKB, Abyssal

#2 Viper

Viper? Well, not many people would think viper deserve the top killing heroes list. Viper has a pretty decent skills. Viper has a high poison magical damage as well as Nethertoxin physical damage. Corrosive skin makes viper survivability higher with 25% magical resistance and 25% slow for the opponent who hits him.

Recommended killing items: Treads/Phase Boots, Manta, BKB/Linken, Butterfly, Heart of Tarrasque, MKB

#3 Ursa Warrior

Ursa is a good hero at killing hero super fast if you don't let him down earlier, and it's easy to understand why he can easily kill heroes with all his stacking skills. He can also kill Roshan at significantly early level, most will do it around the 10th minute. The only way to counter him is to follow the pro rules. Always stick with team, have wards, have disablers and make a teamfight. Ursa is not really good at teamfight unless he has been fed earlier in the game.

Recommended killing items: Phase Boots, Vlads, Dagger, Abyssal, Tarrasque, Butterfly

#4 Huskar

Huskar is a really strong hero to counter carries. He can just use Life Break to reach his enemy and with Berserker's Blood, you will die if you 1v1 with him. He is also strong with BKB, so don't let him kill people when he starts level 6. Well, although Huskar is one of the top killing heroes, he is the easiest to die as he is weak to burst magical damage, as well as he doesn't do much when he is full HP. His damage is at the highest when he losses HP.

Recommended killing items: Treads, Helm of Dominator, BKB, Armlet, Daedalus

#5 Bloodseeker

Bloodseeker will be the most powerful when there is a low health enemy heroes, and can regain health by killing enemies and creeps. If the enemies are not at low health, he can use his Rupture to damage enemy based on the distance travel, and hit the enemy until the enemy becomes weak.

Recommended killing items: Treads/Phase Boots, Radiance, BKB, Butterfly, MKB

Top Farming Heroes

Since there is no changes in the top tier heroes, we are publishing the top farming machines. Top farming is not only based on farming creeps, neutrals, but also heroes!

Top Farming Heroes

#1 Nature's Prophet

Formerly known as Furion, Nature's Prophet can farm like no problem. He can jungle at lvl 1 by staying on high ground, or using his creep. At level 6 and above, he can use his ulti whenever possible, and that is a confirmed gold for each time he uses it. With aghanim, it become more sick! He can solo push/farm, and join teamfight very quickly.

#2 Lycanthrope

The wolf that needs a nerf! He can farm vlads before the 6th minute, and gank like crazy, farm, and escape easily.

#3 Anti-Mage

The only item that Anti-Mage needs is a battlefury before the 20th minute. Then you will have to end the game fast, or he will farm another item at 4 times faster than before. He has the best BAT (will be explained later) in the game.

#4 Luna Moonfang

The only hard time for luna to farm is during early game because he has short range. When Luna has maxed out Moon Glaive, she can damage 5 creeps/heroes at a time. That will increase her farm by 5 times. Not so many people know that in Dota 2, Maelstrom works with her Moon Glaive, giving an increase sick amount of farm. Try it out!

#5 Shadow Fiend

He can double raze the creeps and get all of them. Well, you can stop him, but can counter him because of his low survivability.
